A strip-and-wax project removes an existing floor finish and applies a new finish to a suitable floor. For vinyl composition tile (VCT), the starting point is the material, condition and finish already present. Tell us about buildup, dull traffic lanes, discoloration and previous maintenance so we can discuss what the work can improve.
Buffing and burnishing between larger projects
Buffing and burnishing are maintenance options for appropriate finished floors. The process, equipment and floor finish must work together; they are not interchangeable with stripping the old finish. During your walkthrough, we can discuss whether maintenance of the existing finish or a more involved strip-and-wax project fits the condition.
Prepare the building and allow for the finish
Identify the area, furniture and equipment, doorways, and routes that need to remain available. Agree who will clear the floor and when each space can return to use. The finish, conditions and scope determine the practical timing; later work is available by appointment to help coordinate around your operation.
What affects floor stripping and waxing cost?
Square footage is one factor, alongside existing finish buildup, floor condition, edges, obstacles, furniture arrangements and the required work window. On this page, floor refinishing refers to appropriate finished floors such as VCT and the strip-and-wax process. Our hardwood service is cleaning; hardwood sanding and refinishing are not advertised.
Can work take place after business hours?
